THE OPPORTUNITY
The Bridge Church is a congregation with deep roots and a clear sense that something new is taking shape. We're a 110-year-old FCA-affiliated church in Duluth, Minnesota — and we're in the middle of an intentional season of renewal: clarifying our identity, strengthening our leadership, and building for the next generation.

We're looking for an Associate Pastor who sees a church in transition as an opportunity. Someone who leads like a shepherd — whose definition of success is the spiritual growth of the people around them.
WHAT THIS ROLE IS ACTUALLY ABOUT
This is a vision-and-relationship-first position. You'll serve the whole congregation alongside the Senior Pastor — preaching, pastoral care, discipleship — while giving focused energy to developing our junior and senior high youth ministry.

We're not looking for someone to just run our youth program. Our youth ministry is healthy and growing, backed by a robust team of committed volunteers. We're looking for a leader who will build on that momentum — deepening the culture, developing student leaders, and equipping families to disciple the next generation at home.

ABOUT THE CHURCH
The Bridge is a Spirit-filled, biblically grounded congregation with a multigenerational heart. We've been honest with ourselves about our recent history, and we're doing the structural and spiritual work to build something sustainable. This is a good place for a minister who wants to be part of building — not just maintaining.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Born again Christian with a clear, personal sense of call into pastoral ministry
  • Filled with the Holy Spirit and committed to a life of prayer, Scripture, and personal spiritual formation
  • Endorses and supports the statement of faith of The Bridge Church and the Fellowship of Christian Assemblies
  • Maintains biblical standards of personal conduct and integrity
  • Genuine love for people across all ages and life stages — including teenagers, young adults, and families
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships and lead through influence, not just position
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging people in person, in groups, and digitally
  • Ability to identify, recruit, develop, and release volunteers into meaningful ministry roles
  • Commitment to confidentiality and pastoral discretion
  • Willingness to pursue ongoing theological education and ministry development
COMPENSATION
